Increase Productivity, Self-Confidence + have less stress. Yes. Please.
I recently conducted a survey which dived pretty DEEP into the workings of the female mind, her habits and how her day looks and FEELS right here and now in 2018. I spoke with 40 different females from all different everything! Age, background, industry fields, stages of life etc.
This is a snippet of the information I collected.
Almost every person said in one way or another:
"I spend too much time on my phone"
"I'm addicted to scrolling FB/instagram"
"I hate being on my phone!"
"I can't believe how much time I waste on my phone"
"I wish I could get back the time I spend on social media!!"
"I fall into this sinkhole of comparison and feel so crap afterwards"
"Being on Instagram makes me feel anxious and not good enough"
What people said didn't blow my mind but I did have to wipe my eyes for the tears, I did find this very sad to read. These devices are designed specifically to be addictive and these addictions are very real.
A year ago I would have said the same things and felt the same way until:
What that means is that my phone is completely silent the entire day. No dinging or whooshing or tinging or singing. Nothing! It doesn't make a single sound. In turn, I don't get distracted every 30 seconds, I get so much more work done, I'm no longer addicted to scrolling and my stress levels are the lowest they've been in years. OH and I don't get caught in any comparison sinkholes and lose my self-esteem along the way.
I chose times in the day that SUIT me to check in.
Can't believe it sounds normal to say such a thing but I took back my control.
If this is something you'd like to try on, go to "Settings" then 'Notifications" and flick everything to OFF.
If you need a hand doing it just ask me i'm happy to walk you through it and please let me know how you go and how you feel a couple weeks later.
