The Hub Home Trader is a homewares, furniture & giftware shop located on the Sapphire Coast in Bega, NSW - Yes where the cheese is made. Owned by cousins Jess & Amanda. The Hub provides the Bega Valley with beautiful wares - we aim to stock our store with quality products that you can't purchase anywhere else in the area. We have just opened our online store as well, so all of OZ can shop with us.

WHY DID YOU NAME YOUR STORE WHAT YOU DID?

We purchased The Hub approximately 6 months ago - so the name came with it. We did toss up the idea of changing it, but the reason we bought this shop is because we loved everything about it, the name, the products, the feeling when you walk in....we didn't want to buy an existing shop and drastically change it.

YOU'RE FAVOURITE PLACES AND TIPS FOR LOCALS AND TOURISTS ALIKE?

The Sapphire Coast is a hidden gem - we both left Bega for many years to explore, but have now settled back here, its such a beautiful place to live. As locals we have our favourite haunts - swimming and relaxing at Pambula River Mouth, enjoying a burger at Dulcies Cottage in Merimbula, driving through the rolling green hills of the Bega Valley, having fish & chips by the ocean in Bermagui.

We loved the shop even before we purchased it. We loved what it delivered to the Bega Valley. Now that we have been here 6 months there are so many things to love. We have met so many lovely customers from all over the country/world. We love that people come into the shop to relax - it sounds funny, but we have many regulars just pop in during their lunch break to browse...it’s a very calming shop. We have been asked to install either a coffee machine or champagne station - we like the idea of both!
